The Practice

In nearly 15 years of running medical spas, Nathalie had developed a reputation for one thing above all else: selling packages. When she partnered with practice owner Gerry to open VIO MedSpa Clifton in late 2024, she arrived with a philosophy already formed and a clear-eyed view of how she didn't want to handle financing.

Before Cherry, her tool of choice had been CareCredit. She knew exactly what that relationship felt like. "I knew the ins and outs of things like where it was hard to even offer it," she said, "because, you know, it's a hard credit check... it was just hard all around." It was a tool she'd mention when the situation demanded it - not something she led with, not something she built her practice around.

Cherry was different from the start. At Clifton, Nathalie didn't treat it as a fallback option. She treated it as infrastructure. "We only offer Cherry… I don't really think I need to go with anybody else to be honest."

In under two years, VIO MedSpa Clifton has grown into one of the top-performing franchise locations in the entire VIO network. The practice averages $200,000 per month in revenue and consistently ranks in the top 10 of all VIO locations nationwide. The team is lean, two full-time nurse practitioners, two per-diem ones, and three aestheticians, and every new location gets the same playbook.

The Goal

Nathalie's mission was simple: offer financing to every patient, confidently, and never find herself in a situation where she had promised a treatment plan and the patient couldn't access it. That required an approval rate she could count on.

"Cherry makes or breaks a lot of plans for us," she said. And she needed it to make them.

The Cherry Solution

Nathalie embedded Cherry into every touchpoint of the patient journey from the day Clifton opened.

New leads from Meta and Google receive Cherry's pre-qualification link in the very first message they get from the practice, before they have even booked an appointment. New Instagram followers get an automated direct message with the link. Appointment reminder texts include it. It is in the Linktree. It appears regularly in Instagram content with the caption "Cherry financing available."

Inside the spa, every treatment room has a Cherry QR code. Providers are trained to introduce financing in a single sentence and hand the financial conversation to the front desk. Nathalie coaches her team to say: "You can get anywhere between, you know, six to 12 months, no interest." If a patient hesitates over their credit, the team is ready with a simple reassurance: it is not a hard hit on their credit score. The pitch ends there. Money never gets negotiated in the treatment room.

Every morning, the opening checklist includes a review of Cherry's dashboard. "Our daily checklist when we open up the spa in the morning is go into Cherry and see if anybody's been approved," Nathalie explained. "And then you've got to look at it every day. And if the patient already has an appointment or they have to be reached out to, you have to reach out to them, you have to call them, you have to text them."

When a patient leaves without committing, Nathalie sends a personal follow-up two to three days later, noting that she is the manager and including Cherry in the message. If the patient has been approved, she will sometimes include an estimate of what their monthly payments could look like.

The talk tracks do real work. When a patient mentions a trip or a vacation and does not want to drain their card, Nathalie reframes the conversation: "consider this your beauty savings account, your beauty account where you just have to use this money for your beauty services." Financing stops being a concession. It becomes a plan.

The Growth Plan Decision

In July 2025, Nathalie and Gerry sat down and ran the numbers on Cherry's Growth Pricing Plan. The Growth Plan costs more, but it dramatically expands approval eligibility.

The math was clear, and so was the frustration it would solve. "I just hate offering cherry and then somebody not getting approved," Nathalie said. "We're like spilling it, and we're talking it and we're talking such a good game about it. And then they're they're not approved. And then the patient's like, well, you just told me I could get this whole plan, and I could put it on cherry... you don't want to have those hard conversations."

They ran a one-month trial for VIO Days, which is their big annual sale. They never turned it off.

"We just saw better and better, you know, approval rates, higher approval rates," Nathalie said. "So it made it so that patients could do a lot more. And I think that was like the goal for us."

The effect was immediate and cultural. When the team knows nearly every applicant will be approved, the entire cadence of offering changes. Hesitation disappears. "Everybody gets offered it because we almost know that everybody pretty much is getting approved," Nathalie said. "Like now when I go in there and see not approved, it's like barely existent."

The Results

Comparing the 12 months before the Growth Plan switch (July 2024 to June 2025) to the 12 months after (July 2025 to the present):

Metric Jul 2024-Jun 2025 Jul 2025-Present Change
Approval Rate 62.6% 93.7% +31 pts
Approved Applications 82 358 +337%
Total Applications 169 452 +167%
Total Approved Amount $391,250 $1,509,950 +286%
Subprime Approvals (Vantage <620) 14 125 +793%
Transaction Volume $93,872 $343,870 +266%
Funded Loans 53 206 +289%

VIO MedSpa Clifton now averages $200,000 per month in total revenue and holds a top-10 ranking across the entire VIO franchise network, all in under two years of operation.

And the model travels. Nathalie has already taken over a VIO location in Canton, Connecticut, and has two additional New Jersey locations in progress. Her approach: "literally a copy-and-paste type of thing, taking everything that I know that works and implementing it into the next location."

In Their Words

We just saw better and better approval rates, and it made it so patients could do a lot more – that was the goal for us. Now everybody gets offered Cherry, because we know almost everybody is going to be approved. Seeing a decline is rare.
